We stop using normalization of computing resources

With the implementation of the new grant system, we are giving up the normalization factor. Resources in historical grants will be recalculated (divided by 4). When submitting applications for new grants, please take these changes into account in the estimated computational resources.

PLGrid Pilot

We say goodbye to test grants. They will be replaced by PLGrid Pilot. As with the test grants, you will be able to apply for pilot once a year. Pilot grants will be available on selected clusters, and their aim will be to enable users to check the possibilities offered by the PLGrid infrastructure. PLGrid Pilots last one year and the resources allocated under them are 1,000 h and 10 GB per cluster.

What's new?

You will have to be a manager in research team to apply for the PLGrid Pilot.

When applying for a pilot grant, the user must complete all the metrics related to his research, incl. provide the title of the grant, research purpose, research area, etc.

PLGrid Pilot may be renegotiated and after renegotiation pilot automatically changes to proper grant.

The pilot grant is subject to settlement - after its completion, a settlement report should be sent.
