Affiliation by Polish Scientific Institution with a Polish scientific institution is a mandatory requirement to get access to PLGrid resources.
You have to either be an employee in one to have access to PLGrid services. Otherwise you must provide information about your Supervisor’s affiliation. Your Supervisor must then confirm your identity and the scientific colaboration with you.of a Polish scientific institution or cooperate with one within a Polish scientific institution. If you are an employee provide your affiliation information. Otherwise provide your Supervisor's affiliation information. They will have to confirm the collaboration with you before you can get access.
After your affiliation After your identity is confirmed you will gain access to the resources such as: computing or storage resources, cloud platform, software for scientists, project management tools, e-learning tools and Helpdesk platform - all of this it in one account!

Resource Grant is grant is an agreement between User a user and the PLGrid Infrastructure. This Such agreement contains the specification of resources that you have applied forallocated. Upon registration affiliation confirmation you will can easily receive a trial grant. It consists of 1000 normalized CPU hours and 10 GB of storage for one year per computing supercomputer center. If you require need more resources you can apply for a Proper Grantproper grant.
PLGrid Infrastructure provides a variety of tools and services for your computations computational and storage needs. You have access to can find them in our repository of services via Services Service Catalogue (in Polish: Katalog Aplikacji i Usług).

For some Users this is the last step. If you need more resources resources than offered in trial grant offers follow the next three stepssteps. |

A workgroup allows a user or a group of users to negotiate resources with PLGrid 's supercomputer centers. Users Cooperating users can share resources within one a workgroup.
Certificate confirms user's identity within PLGrid Infrastructure. It allows you to use access some of PLGrid services without requiring your user's login and password. Also some Some applications or tools require the a certificate to access them.

Proper grant is dedicated to users who need For user who needs more resources than provided by a trial grant PLGrid Infrastructure dedicates a Proper Grant. User must set up a workgroup, it is a mandatory requirement. Only workgroup represented by its manager is allow .
In order to receive a proper grant user must create a workgroup (or be added to a workgroup with a leader role). Workgroup may consist of one user only, it may also consist of more collaborating users. Users who belong to the workgroup share its grants.
Only a workgroup leader is allowed to negotiate the resources. The manager leader is also responsible for reporting grant results in form of reports and publications reached while working with resulting from the grant . The workgroup does not have to be a group of users. There can be only one person.(which have to contain PLGrid acknowledgements).
Grants explained in four steps:
1. Go Go to "GRANTY" in Portal's menu, then fill out the form and specify your requirements. You must ensure there that some results, posters or publications are expectedwill be required to declare expected grant results, such as publications or posters.
2. Your request could might need a scientific recommendationreview. Our experts analyze your previous grant's reports and the description in of your current request.
3. Operation stuff Operations staff allocates resources to the grant.
4. Workgroup Manager leader reports progress and results of grant usage.
Decide how to use what of PLGrid's offer . You can schedule the tasks or store your data and files. will be useful to you. The Infrastructure offers a variety of tools for Linux users and Windows users as well. There is also a possibility to get acces to domain specific services for . You can perform computations, store your scientific data or use virtual machines. You may also gain access to domain-specific services from a wide range of science fields.
Our users have get documentation and manuals at their disposal. In case of difficulties we recommend writing a ticket on will help you with your problem via our Helpdesk platform.
For less experienced users we would like to recommend using middlewares wanting to perform computations we recommend middleware with its supporting graphical tools (QCG or UNICORE) for the computations. If you are more advanced, you can access resources clusters directly via SSH protocol.
If your research in grant leads to some publications, remember to add acknowledgements:
