Parametry liczenia energii trzymane są w pliku GIGEnergy.xml.  Poniżej przykładowy plik konfiguracyjny dla modułu do liczenia energii metodą całki kwadratów prędkości. Konfigurację można wykonywać tylko przez modyfikację tego pliku. Edytuje się tylko tekst wydrukowany w przykładzie czarną czcionką.

Plik konfiguracyjny zawiera w <Parameters> następujące pozycje:

  • <tabRho> - tablica z wartościami gęstości ośrodka stosowanymi we wzorze (1).
  • <parML1>, <parML2> - współczynniki odpowiednio b1 i b2 do liczenia magnitudy wzorem (2).
  • <energyAveraging> - metoda liczenia energii z kilku stacji. Możliwe są dwie wartości: <energyAveraging>0</energyAveraging> oznacza liczenie średniej arytmetycznej wzorem (3), natomiast<energyAveraging>1</energyAveraging> oznacza liczenie średniej geometrycznej wzorem (4).
  • <preferredMagnitude> - ustawianie preferowanej magnitudy. Są trzy opcje: <preferredMagnitude>ML</preferredMagnitude> oznacza że jako preferowana ustawiana jest dla zjawiska magnituda ML liczona z energii, <preferredMagnitude>Energy</preferredMagnitude> oznacza, że jako preferowana magnituda ustawiana jest dla zjawiska energia, natomiast puste <preferredMagnitude></preferredMagnitude> powoduje, że preferowana magnituda zjawiska nie jest podczas liczenia energii ustawiana.
  • <storeVerticalEnergy> - opcja zapisu dodatkowo energii ze składowej Z
