The capabilities of SWIP5 can be extended both by writing your own modules in C++ and by writing programs in other programming environments. Currently, cooperation with the Matlab and Python environments is implemented. It is implemented by the appropriate module, which enables, among others, the export of processing and waveforms to an external environment and the writing of own scripts and functions that add their own items to the SWIP5 menu and are invoked from the SWIP5 menu. Cooperation with the Matlab environment and functions supporting writing your own programs as well as cooperation with the Python environment and performing ObsPy functions with SWIP5 are described in a separate documentation.
