Quick-Start guide for AH-TCS

The main goal of the  project is the construction of a digital space for IS research, providing to the European scientific community permanent and reliable access to advanced research infrastructure. Moreover it has to conduct modern research by suggesting innovative solutions, and encourage effective cooperation with international scientific IT networks.

IS-EPOS is a prototype of Induced Seismicity (IS) Thematic Core Service (TCS), in European Plate Observing System (EPOS) integration program. IS-EPOS integrates data describing comprehensively IS cases, called Episodes of Induced Seismicity (ESI) and software services grouped in so called ‘Use Cases’. Moreover, it provides interactive visualization, browsing and optimization tools. In such way, the IS-TCS sustains a permanent and reliable platform of advanced Research Infrastructures for the IS Community.

IS-EPOS is developed by a scientific and industrial Consortium, comprising the Institute of Geophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences, (IGF-PAS), Academic Computer Center (Cyfronet AGH), Central Mining Institute (GIG) and Coal Company SA. The group is coordinated by Stanisław Lasocki and Beata Orlecka-Sikora (IGF-PAS) in the framework of DIGITAL RESEARCH SPACE OF INDUCED SEISMICITY FOR EPOS PORPOSES project, co-financed by the funds of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), as a part of the Operational Programme Innovative Economy. IS-EPOS concepts have been supported by the ideas worked out within EPOS Working Group 10, (WG10): Infrastructures for Georesources.

This User Guide provides detailed information about how to access, register and make use of the datasets and the facilities available in IS-TCS web-platform. Description of the configuration options, scientific implementations and visualization services is given in detail, supported with several snapshots and figures demonstrating step-by-step examples of certain applications.
